I also noticed the sql file that is provided in the folder doesn't have everything that is needed for the site to successfully work. (If someone really wants to get this site to work then they can easily figure out what tables need to be made for the sql backside to work properly.)

Other than that here is a share, I did not make this site, nor do I take any credit for it. Just thought it had better use for people in this community than in a folder that would probably never be opened.

~Our Aim:~

Skymist is approaching it's time being ready to be released! To apply, or for more information, visit the "Open Beta" section of this post!



Our aim as a server is to balance both PvP and PvE content perfectly, providing a unique, enjoyable experience for players who PvP, PvE or partake in the two spectrums of the game. We hope that we can provide the best experience that we can as a 4.3.4a Patch and to differentiate Skymist from the rest, to perfect blizzard content and bring to life what you have never experienced as a true Blizzlike Server. Developed, to the true needs that a Blizzlike Server must have, by a bunch of people that focused on the Great Needs to perfect the Core with all of it's content working pefectly.

It is the primary focus of Skymist to oversee that there is sufficient, engaging content to ensure the long term enjoyment of the player-base. To not only launch the server with a large amount of content, but to maintain a steady flow of newly released content to ensure the player's long-term satisfaction with the always-developing server. So we are closing PVE areas that should not be accessed if the server doesn't reach a Lifespan and a greater population.



~Some Unique Features:~
*(Note that this is not, by any means, a complete list of Skymist's features or planned features. The following are just a few examples, not even elaborated into completely.)*


~Progression~



  • Among many servers, there feels to be lack of a progression. After a week or so of play, finding yourself in best in slot gear can become dismally dull. We feel that the more time and effort you put into your character, the more it should advance in progression without being suppressed by a server's lack of content to progress through. So we are closing Raids and Instances that will boost you completely to the End Gear and surpass the flow of progression.



  • PVP Rewards will remain unchanged for now but we will down them a bit too.



  • All tiers of PvE will be available but with time. For example: You can access the First Raids that were introduced in Cataclysm and gain the tokens that you are needed for the items. But access further than that. Even so all other Raids will be available by time.




~Mounts and Pets~



  • On most servers, the pool of available pets and mounts is exclusive to a dozen or so that are obtainable. We have incorporated dozens of pets and mounts on Skymist, and all of the are Obtainable but only if you do achievements and Quests (For the Mounts / Pets that are obtainable with such a way).



  • With a pool of over one hundred mounts and pets, the majority of the playerbase would not be seen riding the same Magic Rooster or Spectral Tiger around the mall, as seen on most servers. But there will be a Shop to buy them.



  • World drops, Reputation rewards (for both PvP and PvE factions), monthly gamemaster postings of auctions and gambling boxes are just a few ways to obtain mounts on Skymist (Yes, we have the old ones too).



What is one of the playstyle foundation that separates us from the rest?


There are many things that set us apart from other servers prior to our own. Some of the more easily categorized features have been briefly explained. However, there is one concept that should have a much larger dedication to it, and that is the fusing of PvP and PvE play-styles. What made Vanilla such an enjoyable experience to most players: World PvP.

We have worked hard to perfect the World PvP Areas such as: Wintergrasp(80) and Tol'barad(85). You can now fight for your towers and glory and unlock the hidden Dungeons of Baradin Hold. Mostly this is what we wanted to see working because it's fun to PvP with Objectives and because we want to bring massive amount of players to fight!
Our PvE on the other said is greatly complete and most of the Boss Fights, well all of them, are working "blizzlike" with not even one small Detail missed. We expect players to do Instances (Dungeons) and Raids with the way they were developed and for once in our Lives work with Tactics. Most servers don't have that and it's a shame, so go on and test them by your selfes.
Our Questing is nicely scripted and you can enjoy all the Story that World of Warcraft can provide to you, threw them.

We have also made the decision to progressively release more content in order to keep players interested and content throughout their experience on our server. We will be releasing "patches" at monthly intervals that will make sure that there will be no moments where you don't have anything to do.

What to do before play?
Simple:
Download the first link (dbc, maps, vmaps, mmaps)
Delete the dbc folder
Download the DBC-only link
Download the database

This step is to do only once in your life :P
Download THIS "installer".

you can extract all the .rar in the main folder.
Go now to the installer folder and run the .bat file
when it finished, you can delete the installer folder.
WARNING: The .bat file musn't give errors. If it gives you did something wrong.

1) Start MySqlStarter.exe

2) Execute authserver.exe and worlserver.exe

3) go to your wow folder/WTF
4) open the .conf file, and add this string:

For those who for one reason or another need to run the server on Linux. I compiled on Debian 7 and I hope that it serve to you. Greetings. I new on this but i wish to support it because it is my project for my community and I share it with you no matter how much work I do happens because there are many of you who need it and have experienced firsthand.
